Privacy policy
Castle Tumble is a game with no advertising and no tracking across other apps or websites. This page says exactly what the game stores, where, and how you remove it.
What we collect and why
| Data | Why | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Your player name (the one you type in the game) and your game progress: trophies, arena, crew levels, castle upgrades, coins, settings | To run the game and show your progress | On your device. If you turn on cloud recovery, a copy is kept on our server so you can restore it on a new phone. |
| A random account identifier, and, if you sign in with Game Center or Google Play Games, the identifier that service gives us | To tell your saved progress apart from other players' and to let you recover it | On our server (Hetzner, Finland). We never see your Apple ID or Google password. |
| Match events: when a match started and ended, how it ended, which characters were used, your trophy change | To pair you with players of your level, to award trophies fairly, and to find bugs and balance problems | On our match relay and server while the match runs, then as anonymous statistics |
| Crash and error reports (the device model, the operating system version, the game version, what the game was doing when it failed) | To fix crashes | On our server; deleted after 90 days |
| A push notification token, only if you turn notifications on | To tell you when a match or a daily reward is ready | On our server until you turn notifications off or delete your account |
| Your network address while you are connected | To deliver the match to your phone and to stop abuse | In server logs for up to 30 days |
What we do not do
- No advertising, no advertising identifiers, no ad networks.
- No sale of your data, and no sharing with data brokers.
- No tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
- No access to your contacts, photos, location, microphone or camera. The game does not ask for those permissions.
- No chat. Opponents see your player name and your crew; nothing else about you.
Who else processes data
Apple (the App Store, Game Center, push notifications, and in-app purchases if you buy a supporter pack) and Google (Google Play, Play Games, Firebase sign-in and notifications on Android) process data under their own privacy policies when you use those services. Our servers run on Hetzner in Finland and on DigitalOcean in Europe. Nobody else receives your data.
Purchases
If the game offers a supporter purchase, it is handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play. We receive a receipt that says a purchase was made, not your payment details. Nothing in the game is pay-to-win.
Children
Castle Tumble is meant for players aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.
How long we keep things
Your progress stays as long as your account exists. Server logs are kept for up to 30 days, crash reports for up to 90 days, and match statistics are kept only in anonymous, aggregated form.
Deleting your data
Open the game, go to Settings, then Account, then Delete account. That removes your server-side progress, your account identifier and your push token at once; the copy on your phone goes when you delete the app. You can also write to contact@castletumble.online from the address you want us to answer, and we delete everything within 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by email. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new effective date, and the game shows a short notice the next time you open it.
